Polymer Vision plans world's first device with a Rollable Display |
We've all been looking forward to the day that we can carry around a tiny mobile device that unfolds into a spectacularly crisp large display that would be bigger than the device itself. Well that day is here! Polymer Vision, a spinout of Philips Electronics, has announced the Polymer Vision Readius rollable display handheld device. This amazingly cool little number contains a flexible display that rolls out 5 inches from the body of the device. Use it as a PDA, use it as an e-book reader, connect with WiFi - this baby does it all. It should be available by the end of the year so stay tuned - we'll keep our eye on this one!
