| 1. Sylvania DVR90VF is a real piece of trash. Steer Clear of this machine or anything else made by this company. I bought it Dec 2006 as a XMAS Gift, and now the DVD won't record. I can't find my reciept, so the company asked me to give them the serial number. Well the machine was manufactured in March of 2005. I am screwed, so don't you get screwed. Pay a little more and buy a high quality machine to start with |

| 2. I agree! This is a piece of trash. I am having the exact same problem. DO NOT BUY! I called the tech support number. The technician told me not to buy the dvd's that come in packages of 25--they are mass-produced. HUH? I think they are all mass-produced. Not only is the product bad, the technical support is horrible! |

| 3. And another agree! I bought this doorstop in March 2005, it worked great for about 3 months. Now it won't record, on playback it freezes...but for $150, what was I to expect? |

| 4. Same thing for me, it worked until the warranty expired, now I can't record DVDs. I contacted the company through their website but never received a reply. |

5. Add me to the list! Almost since it was new, I get frequent error code 4 messages. I contacted Sylvania and all they had to offer was for to try cleaning it! Of course, I tried that but it did no good. It's hit or miss with this thing. Sometimes it will record and sometimes it won't. Of course you find out as the movie you wanted to record has already started! JUNK! I will never buy another Sylvania ANYTHING!

| 6. I've had my unit for over 2years and the only complaint I have is that the VCR no longer works, but now that I've converted all my old VHS records to DVD, I really have no use for it. I copied over 200 VHS tapes to DVD w/o a hitch and have no complaints. My DVD recorder did stop working, gave an error code saying cant write to this disc, but I cleaned it and it again works fine. One other minus is I've not been able to get any RW disc's to work, but with discs so cheap its not a must to have re-writeable media |

| 7. I thought that I was using the wrong kind of dvd-r disks,so I bought 50 Maxwell dvd-r disks.This brand worked the day before,but this junk machine will says it cannot write to this disk.I'm tired of messing with this piece of crap!Unless you like frustration...do not buy one! |
