Sony KD34XBR970
Sony KD34XBR970 34" Wega XBR® high-definition TV |
Summary: Sony's KD34XBR970 FD Trinitron WEGA Flat Screen Technology is the basis of Sony's award-winning line of visually flat televisions. The FD Trinitron sets deliver incredible image accuracy, wide viewing angles, outstanding contrast, and corner-to-corner detail. The visually flat FD Trinitron tube minimizes annoying glare from light sources, which enhances contrast. Detail, corner-to-corner, is rendered more accurately because images aren't distorted by a curved screen. Squares are square, straight lines appear straight, and circles are circular.

1. I purchased the Sony KD34XBR970 along with Direct TV HD+DVR, all for under $1,300.00 including delivery and setup. So to get true HDTV in your home this was a great deal both financially and picture quality. I have been researching and shopping for a HDTV solution for over 5 months, I truly believe you cannot get a better picture at any price with this combination. This 34” CRT 16x9 720P/1080i flat tube picture performs better than any expectation I had for HDTV, the blacks and contras ration is phenomenal, crisp detail, and the colors are so real it looks like you are looking out a window. This combination blew my socks off. Thanks you Sony & Direct TV, for providing the best HDTV solution. Note the Direct TV HD+DVR appliance did not come with an HDMI cable so you need to purchase this. The difference is very evident as far as the difference in the component compression method versus the HDMI pure digital format even in non-HDTV programs it make a world of difference.
