3. The image quality and sound is great. However when playing guitar hero on PS2 it is nearly impossible due to the horrible response time of this tv. I was hitting the notes so late that when I went to reload the song it said "some HDTVs take a much longer time to process images and are not suited for gaming" I believe this panel is one such HDTV so if you are a gamer spend the extra bucks and get one that actually lists how many ms its response is. For movies and television only this tv is a steal.

4. LOL $998 at Wal mart dude you got ripped off even with that price. Everyone has been dogging that POS plasma in reviews. Sometimes you have to spend a little bit more to get quality.

8. Judging by the fact that this consumer uses words like "dude", "dogging" and "POS".. I wouldn't be too worieed about his review. We are picking up one of these TV's tonight after reading mostly fantastic reviews.

9. Picked one up on 11/2/07 for $998. Picture quality is fantastic! BUT after two weeks, the TV would not power on properly. Had to return to WM for an exchange. I'm still very happy with the TV's picture quality, but will have to see how long this new one lasts before I comment on durability.

10. We bought the sanyo 50" plasma along with a panasonic home theatre system at walmart a few weeks ago and are very happy with it. The tv was $1197 and the theater system was $399. Is it a "top of the line" package? I suppose not, but the picture and sound is great. We love it. We have shopped around a lot and in the process educated ourselves somewhat on plasma vs lcd, 720p vs 1080p etc, then decided on this one. Why would you want to spend double or triple to get a samsung at 1080p. By the way, I also own a 47" samsung projection, which was one of the top models in its day, cost me nearly $3,000 at the time. The quality doesn't even come close to the sanyo plasma.
