| 1. I just found that my HLS5086wx/xaa, just likes to turn off on its own.. and when I called for service.. samsung wanted me to turn it into a shop for 2 WEEKS??? what kind of service is that? |

2. After approximately 8 months of operation, my HLS5086wx/xaa has recently started turning off on its own, too. Although the Standby/Temp light comes on, the issue does not seem to be heat-related as it will sometimes turn off within minutes of powering on and other times it will operate for several hours without shutting off.
I will post additional information as it becomes available... |

| 3. I have the same problem, after 18 months, the TV started turning off on it's own and I've been waiting 4 weeks for the extended warranty guy to fix it. ?? I'm looking for the product manual to see if we can assist in the troubleshooting. Very frustrated... |

| 4. I was thinking about buying one of these televisions used. He has had it for 7 months and wants $600. He said that Samsung just replaced the screen in it because of a gray line going across. He said it works like new now. After reading alot of the negative comments on this television, I have decided not to buy it and I will most likely never buy a Samsung television because all of the negative comments talk about how bad their tecnical support is. It seems that everyone who has bought this television and left a negative comment basically has had the same problem. It seems that this should be a recalled item. It's sad that people have paid alot of money to get this television, that Samsung has profitted from, and Samsung gives them the run around when it needs to get serviced. Sounds like they hope you get tired of holding on the phone and you hang up. They drag their feet to fix your problem to keep the money in the bank. Sorry to everyone who got screwed by Samsung. |

| 6. i had a tv that service man that did not know how to put the new lite in it now thay sad i was getting this tv new from samsung i did not ask for the new tv but he mess it up so i think samsung need to find new service men that know how to do the work on them i wood not buy no more from them and wood not let some one i know buy |
