1. Looked at Sony, looked at Samsung and Sharp costing hundreds more. This TV rocks for the price. Buy it and use your savings to take a trip to the beach or your favorite vacation spot. Face it you can't keep up with todays technology and your eyes can only see so much and you won't be able to tell the difference between this model and the ones you pay out the nose for. BUY IT! |

4. One night while watching a movie the TV started showing ” unusable Signal”. With the TV only being 6 months old (under warranty) we contacted RCA which is now owned by a company named Thompson. They verified that it was under warranty and told me to take it to a local service center. I found out the problem was in the digital board (Part # 274704) a known problem with this TV. When a search for one was done they don’t have one at any of their service centers. It seems that when dealing with Thompson and they are going to have to replace the TV because of a known problem with the digital board they find some reason not to warranty the equipment. a credit card statement showing the purchase was ok to get it repaired but when they found out they were going to have to replace it they would no longer except it because the statement had personal information on it. When they were advised that it had been removed they said it was their call and the answer was no.

| 5. Bought it 5 months ago. Picture is still clear. Now I have no sound through the internal speakers. Analog video/audio & s-video no longer works. HDMI video works but no sound. All channels have no sound. Research about the problems before you buy. BUYER BEWARE. |

| 6. Exact problem at 5 months for L42WD22... dealing w/ repair shop now. Part (274656) is on back order. I love calling the robots on the phone at thomson. They couldn't give a crap about the fact that my TV has been in the repair shop for a month. I have to call them again on Monday to find out if they were able to locate the part. I was kind of hoping to just get a replacement for the tv but now I feel like i'm just going to be dealing with the same problem 5 months later. My advice... if the problem occurs after 1 year, and you bought it with a VISA... call them. All visa cards come with extra warranty coverage. It kicks in right after the manufacturers warranty expires, and goes for the same length of original warranty.... any problems and you get cash back, not a refund on a repair bill for a defective tv. |

7. I also had the exact problem about 2 weeks ago on my L46WD22. Called Thompson customer service and got nothing but lies from the rep. Took it to the authorized repair shop here and they told me they had a 42" and a 46" that has been on their shelf for over a month...mine makes the third. The digital board was on back order, so my repair shop called and actually got to talk to an engineer at RCA. The problem is that a surface mount fuse is blown and RCA said they also could not get this component. My repair center said that he found a fuse to fit the board, and though it was a higher rated fuse, installed it. TV works fine and it is back in my house. Also, the repair center is not getting paid for the work!!! RCA is obviously not concerned with taking care of their customers and doing the right thing by the people that pay them money for their product. It will be the last RCA product I buy!!! |

| 8. We have the same problem as well. It tooks us three weeks to get Thomson to tell us that they did not have the part available and would send us a replacement TV. We are 6 weeks into this ordeal, and as of this morning, they claim they are sending our replacement TV and we should have it within two weeks. The customer service level is very poor. I was told time and again that they would call me back and no one ever did. I am being sent a new TV, but they will only give me the remainder of my current warrant on this TV. I verified that they were sending a brand new TV not a refurbished, and then questioned why they would not give us a full warranty if the TV was new. They refused to respond. This shows me a lack of confidence in their product. |
