Excellent way to keep in touch with the kids!

5 out of 5
I laughed when I read a previous reviewers review that said his child programed the phone. I thought, "surely, he couldn't have!" Well, our Migo arrived last week. My son, who just turned 7, RE-programmed the phone with his 1st grade classmates phone numbers!! So yes, if they have access to the
manual, or know the code, it's not hard to do at all!!
With that said, I must add that I DO love this phone. For just $9.99 a month, my son can call me whenever he likes. He clips it inside his backpack or on his jeans depending on where he is! My son is never far from my side, but I guess I like having him know he can reach me anytime he wants!!

Cool cell!!!

5 out of 5
This cellphone is so cool! Sure, you have to pay for the minutes, but anybody else who has a Verizon cellphone can talk to you for free! Even though you can only hold up to 4 numbers that you program into your phone, it's good because they came out with this phone for emergencies, and when you need to contact your parents. It's also cool because I get to talk to anybody for free after 9:00pm on weekdays. On weekends, I get to talk for free all day long. It's also neat to say "Hey! Call me on my cell!"

Not good enough - here's why

4 out of 5
While this may help you keep in touch with your kids, why not go the extra distance and get a phone that truly helps keep them secure? Phones with GPS trackers are now available, using a C.A.T.S. system technology and they:
* Locate your child on any computer from home or office.
* Restrict incoming and outgoing calls to preselected numbers.
* Phone locations updated every 1 minute.
* Locate loved ones on city map
* View tracking path of phone
* Know speed and direction phone is traveling
If you're going to invest in a phone for your child, this one will take them through the teen years and ensure peace of mind for YOU, the parent. In today's world, better to play it safe...

Parent

3 out of 5
The phone is okay, but I feel the passcode is to easy for any child with common sense to break and program other numbers. LGIC should have designed the phone to allow parents to personalize the password once they've enter the generic code. Also, it does not have parental controls on incoming calls. I think the concept is wonderful, but the manufacture needs to go back and re-think & redesign this phone with more parental security controls, especially the two I mentioned in my review.
