Great Phone in a Little Package

4 out of 5
I just got this phone a few days ago and its very easy to learn to use! Its perfect for a teenage girl such as me =) It has all the features she would want. Pretty stylish, camera, and she can record her own ringtones! Its very customizable and sprint has a great coverage though it wont work in my room since my room is basically underground (the bottom of my window is grass) but i have found it has great service every where else =) great menu, easy to use, and perfect for any age!

Excellent Phone

4 out of 5
I have had this phone for nearly 6 months and it has been excellent. The reception is great in the Sprint PCS coverage area. I am able to get on the web and send text anywhere I have Sprint coverage. When I don't have service, roaming kicks in and the only place I have not been able to get roaming or PCS service was in an underground subway.
Reception: In my house, I have 4-5 bars. This is not uncommon. Excellent phone with Sprint coverage.
Menus: The menus are very easy to use. The four navigation keys can be set as different shortcuts. The items are in logical places (unlike Verizon phones).
Camera: Good photo quality with moderate light. Little light or an excess of light will make blurry or dark pictures. Photos look a lot better once they are uploaded. This phone does not have flash or video capture.
Tools: Basic world clock, scheduler, alarm, notepad, and more. The calculator has powers and the ability to add parentheses.
Messaging: Instant messaging is very confusing, but nice to have on the go. Text messaging is very nice. The external screen tells who sent the message and how many messages they sent. The red LED also flashes. The number pad is very easy to type on but if you are a fast typist, the letters appear on the screen a couple of seconds after you type them. You can send and receive text almost anywhere you have any service, even in places you cannot place phone calls without dropping them because you have zero bars. Picture messaging is very nice. I have sent many messages and the email setup is very nice and simple to utilise.
Games: There are three demo games on my phone: Tetris, Jamdat Bowling, and Ms. Pac-man. They are very short but simple to use.
Web: Works well with one bar or more. The entire web is available to you on your phone. I have been able to access every website I have tried to access, although the book says some pages may not be viewable. Also, many log in boxes on sites may be disabled for safety. The speed is much faster than AOL with dial-up. The web browser may be confusing to people who are not familiar with the setup.
Overall: Nice phone with excellent reception on Sprint PCS and roaming, nice camera for quick photos, easy to use menus, simple messaging, and cool web browser. I selected this phone over the Samsung rival model in its category.

The Value of This Phone Depends on Your Plan

4 out of 5
I got this phone through Sprint PCS, and to be honest, I think it was the best and cheapest choice for me. It has great button placement, is relatively lightweight, and has all the standard features of today's phones, such as camera, internet capabilities (PCS), and is highly customizable. Though definitely not cutting edge, it is more than enough for anyone needing a cell phone quickly and cheaply.
As for the negatives of this phone, there were some. It seems fragile, so be careful when handling it. Don't crush it against your shoulder and if possible get a case to protect it in the chance you might drop it. Another bad thing about this phone is that, at least for me, it doesn't do well indoors. I've never gotten more than three bars of reception in my house, and more often than not I'm denied access to the internet because of a poor connection and slow speeds. This hasn't been too much of a problem for me, though, since I rarely use my cell phone indoors for anything except text messaging.
Once again, this is a great phone for being introduced into a plan. It's cheap and relatively reliable. It has everything that cell phones need today, and a few added features. In truth, though, the value of this phone depends on your plan. If you want an expensive plan with high capabilities, then I wouldn't get this phone, but if you want a cheaper plan, then the LG PM-225 Phone is your best bet.
Here's a list of pros and cons:
+ Low price
+ Great button placement and lightweight design
+ Has all the standard features
+ Good introductory phone
- Seems easily capable of breaking
- Bad reception in close places (for me)
- Poor internet connection

DON'T Recommend!!!!

1 out of 5
I purchased this phone about a month and ago and am getting a replacement. Few things that annoyed me were:
1. Frequent dropped calls (very unusual for my area)
2. I am the type of person to rest the phone against my shoulder when I need to grab stuff. This one makes a cracking noise like it is about to bust in half!
3. The speaker phone sucks! Good luck trying to understand anyone who is talking on it or having someone on the other end understand you.
4. It is also very hard to understand people when you are talking on it. I kept asking everyone to repeat themselves. It just sounds muffled and turning up or down on the headset volume did not help.
5. Camera is not the best but not really what I cared a whole lot about.
My advice is just take these in consideration. I wish I did when I read these before.
