1. Not too bad for the price. I bought it for less than $300.00 CDN. I would suggest to upgrade the RAM to 2gb which could cost $100.00 to $300.00, but running on 256mb it will do the job, just takes longer. I use mine as a second computer to record video off my PVR and burn DVD's(although you'll need a DVD burner, I got an external for $70.00)or internet surfing when my other computers are busy.

2. well i bought mine and it has 250 mb of ram but it only reads 128 how com.

4. it says you have less than the listed memory because what it says is after the system files and what not... just like mp3 players say they hold 1gig of music or so thats not taking into account the operating system and everything else also

6. Bought this computer 2 years ago and have been pretty happy with it overall. Cost $300. Recently upgraded and what a difference ! Went through Gateway support to order 2GB memory, a 512 MB video card, and a 500 watt power supply (necessary with the upgrades) - total cost $400. for upgrades. And the computer now runs quick as a rabbit, where before it was slow as a slug. Couldn't be more happy with total cost. Think this computer could last me another 3 years, now.
