1. The rumors surrounding the BlackBerry 8820 and the 8820g are no longer rumors. The production of the 8820 (no camera) are expected to be released in 9/2007. The 8820g (full multimedia 2.1 MP camera with 16 fps video) are expected to be released 12/2007.

2. This is still a rumor! Where do you get your information dMb? Nothing has been said by RIM, search the RIM websites. If you ask me it is a damn scam and a faux hoax!

3. Listen here Blog, I am on the media team here at RIM and I can tell you that the release of the 8820 is coming very soon. Don't get that tho, the 8323q has that, a camera, GPS, and

4. How about a url from rim. You work for RIM.. The proof is in the putting. I've heard alot about this wifi for like half a year now and when I go to the site I find nothing. More importantly when I goto my local cell co I find nothing.. I'm wondering if PPC is a better choice.

5. It's funny how I'm always waiting for the holy grail device, and no matter how much better things get, I still want more. The 8820 may just do the trick. If it is simply the 8800 with WiFi, that should be good enough for me (as long as the browser is decent). I still find myself wishing that it had 2gig of Nand Flash (am I being fussy?)
The way I see it, I don't want to watch movies or tv shows on the go, so one of the main draw cards of the iPhone is negated. So too with the camera, which seems to be what everyone wants but no-one uses. This only leaves music playing (which is fine on my 1st gen iPod Nano), however the two device/cord issue is still present. Thus, 8800 with WiFi, a decent browser and some flash memory for music would be lovely. Perhaps MicroSD cards will sate me?

6. for the price and lack of camera, it's a *wank*. I can get the same features and more on an O2 for almost half the price. Next phone please!

8. dMb,
Your projection back in April for the 9/07 release date has come to fruition so I lean toward your info more. Is the release of the 8820g with camera still scheduled to drop in 12/07?
Hopefully you still read the forum.
Thanks

9. Singtel release their 8820g already, and offering it at a 40% higher price (with contract) than its 8800g cousin. What I want to know is if this 8820g also comes with GPS and why isn't it a 3G phone yet. Damn, now I have to buy one and field-test it too.
I hope as a phone is is more reliable than the 8300g, I am supporting too many variants of blackberry already.. sigh.
