1. This computer has been great for the value! I paid 748, coming to a little over 800 after tax at Wal-Mart. The screen is bright and vibrant, it runs really cool and it'll even play UT 2004 and World of Warcraft perfect. A couple of short coming though is the distinct lack of additional features on the laptop. For example, it does not have any S-Video, or DVI, or any other connection to allow it decent connection to external video devices. It only has the one monitor port. Also, the manual is horrible vague. It basically shows you pictures of everything and labels them. But over all I would give it an 8 out of 10

6. I bought mine just over a year ago and it was wonderful up until a couple months ago. The touch-pad stopped working so I had to buy a USB Mouse to use, and it stopped recognizing the mouse. Less than a week later, the motherboard crashed and of course it all happened two weeks after my one year warranty was up. Warning: It works great but only lasts about a year before crashing!!!!!

7. Acer is sh*t. I had the exact same keyboard/mouse/USB problem. After owning it for less than one year, all three failed.

8. In case you are searching this problem online, when I tried to get the keyboard\mouse\USB problem resolved, Acer support actually laughed. Had to replace the motherboard to get it working again. Thanks Acer. Ill never purchase your crap again.

9. Same keyboard problem. I emailed Acer tech suport, and they denied any knowledge of an issue, and said for $449.00, they'd take a look at it. How can that be? Don't buy an Acer - They should not be rewarded for selling garbage and repairing it for more than half the price.

10. I have Acer Aspire 5000 and thought my touchpad was broken until I realized it was only disabled. Also, broke a couple keys on the keyboard, but bought a new one for about $30 and reinstalled it myself.
